Choose Your Color Mini Wisconsin State Necklace
This enameled necklace started out as a hand cut piece of copper. I sifted Vitreous Enamel (pigmented powdered glass) onto the copper, heated with a torch or kiln to 1500 degrees Fahrenheit until the glass melted and adhered to the copper. This process of sifting and firing on both sides of the copper is repeated in layers multiple times for coverage. The edges of the enameled piece are then polished to remove excess enamel and to highlight the copper edge.
Total length from the top of the ball to the base of the necklace is 7/8 inches.
